Good News! XUNENG and ZHINENG Biomass Power Plants under Thermoelectricity Business Unit Achieve Historic Highs in Operating and Power Generation Indicators in Q1 2026
As spring ushers in a new journey, good news comes one after another! Under the overall management and scientific deployment of Shaoneng Thermoelectricity Business Unit, in the first quarter of 2026, Xuneng and Zhineng Biomass Power Plants worked together, overcame difficulties, and delivered outstanding results. The production and operation achieved a historic breakthrough, successfully securing a "good start" for the first quarter!
With the striving attitude of "sprinting at the start and fighting at the beginning", Xuneng Biomass Power Plant set a new record for power generation since its operation. It generated 107 million kWh in March, with a cumulative total of 271 million kWh in the first quarter. This achievement is attributed to the overall leadership of the Thermoelectricity Business Unit, and more to the refined management of the power plant in all links of fuel guarantee, operation optimization and equipment maintenance. The fuel intake in the first quarter reached 378,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 73.58%. High-quality fuel supply, stable unit operation and efficient equipment defect elimination have laid a solid foundation for stable production and efficiency improvement.
Zhineng Biomass Power Plant also delivered an outstanding performance, with a comprehensive power generation of 208 million kWh in the first quarter, refreshing the all-time high record; the auxiliary power consumption rate dropped to 8.36%, including 8.11% in March, reaching the best level in history. Under the overall coordination of the Thermoelectricity Business Unit, all departments of the plant cooperated closely. The operation and maintenance departments stuck to the production front line, and fuel, logistics, management and other departments provided all-round support, gathering a strong joint force for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, achieving double breakthroughs in power generation and key operation indicators.
