2026
In February 2026, the Group implemented its first divisional restructuring since its listing, covering the tableware, precision (smart) manufacturing and thermal power generation sectors.
2025
In March 2025, Shaoneng Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, Shaoguan Ruichu New Energy Investment Co., Ltd., invested in and constructed the fourth batch of projects under the second phase of its distributed photovoltaic power generation scheme, with a planned total installed capacity of 20.66 MW.
In July 2025, in order to establish sound long-term incentive and profit-sharing mechanisms to attract and retain talent, the Group launched its first share-based incentive scheme since its listing, with 243 individuals receiving initial grants.
In August 2025, the Group established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangdong Shaoneng Calculation-Power Integration Investment Co., Ltd., with the intention of vigorously expanding its generation-grid-load-storage business.
In October 2025, the Group invested in the construction and operation of Phase I of the Smart Centralised Control Centre project. As the Group's first centralised control centre project, it will facilitate the development of energy operations towards an information-driven, intelligent and intensive model characterised by 'minimal manning and unmanned operation'.
2024
In 2024, Rui Chu New Energy's first phase of its distributed photovoltaic power generation project and Hongda Company's technical upgrade project for the annual production of 360,000 sets of X3T new energy vehicle gears commenced commercial operations.
In October 2024, driven by confidence in future development and recognition of the Group's long-term value, and with a view to bolstering investor confidence whilst establishing robust long-term incentive and profit-sharing mechanisms, the Group launched its first share buyback programme since its listing, repurchasing 32.4166 million shares.
In October 2024, Hongda Company invested in the construction of a project with an annual production capacity of 24,000 new energy transmission components and 3,600 wide-body mining truck transmissions.
A subsidiary, Oasis Multinational Limited, was established in Hong Kong to accelerate the Group's international market expansion and the development of overseas distribution channels.

In 2023, the first phase of the Leiyang paper-making project and Hongda Company's Eaton Cummins heavy-duty truck gearbox component manufacturing project commenced commercial operations.
In April 2023, the holding subsidiary Shaoguan Ruichu New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of the first phase of a distributed photovoltaic power generation project.
In August 2023, construction commenced on the technical upgrade project for the annual production of 360,000 sets of X3T new energy vehicle gears and the Wengcheng District District Heating Project.
2022
In 2022, the first phase of the eco-friendly plant-based fibre tableware project at the Nanxiong Second Industrial Park was completed, whilst Hongda Company's project for the annual production of 24,000 new energy heavy-duty truck gearboxes commenced commercial operations.
In September 2022, Shaoneng Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, Shaoguan Risheng Biomass Power Generation Co., Ltd., acquired 100% of the equity in Shaoguan Qujiang Changqing Environmental Protection Thermal Power Co., Ltd.
In December 2022, Shaoguan Industrial Assets Management Co., Ltd. became the Company's largest shareholder, holding 155,949,490 shares.

In July 2021, construction began on the steam supply pipeline network project for the Matou Circular Economy Industrial Park in Xinfeng County, alongside the Eaton Cummins heavy-duty truck gearbox components manufacturing project.
In December 2021, construction commenced on Hongda Company's project for the annual production of 24,000 new energy heavy-duty truck gearboxes.

In January 2020, the generating units of the Wengyuan Biomass Power Generation Phase I and Phase II projects commenced commercial operation.
In March 2020, two intelligent automated forging production lines (No. 1 and No. 2) and nine precision turning production lines, comprising the first phase of the South China Special Steel Park's precision forging project, commenced trial production.

The first pair of petrol and natural gas filling stations at the Daxi (North-South) Service Area on the Chaohui Expressway, which was built as part of the investment project, commenced trial operations.

Qianhai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. has acquired 162,127,425 shares in the company through competitive trading on the secondary market, thereby becoming the company's largest shareholder.

The company's pioneering range of unbleached, whitening-agent-free, natural-coloured bamboo fibre household paper products will be launched in June.
2012
The investment in the Shaoneng Biomass Power Generation Project in Shaoguan is one of the key initiatives under Shaoguan's '100 Major Projects' programme, and is also the first project in Guangdong Province to generate electricity through the direct combustion of agricultural and forestry residues as biomass fuel.
2009
Shaoneng Group has officially relocated to 16 Yanjiang Road, Wujiang District, Shaoguan (now renamed 16 Wujiang Avenue Central), and held an unveiling ceremony at the new premises.
2004
Construction commenced on the 200 MW Dafutan Hydropower Station in Chenxi County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. This marked a milestone in the company's hydropower development, signalling a shift from the previous focus on small hydropower stations (projects with a capacity of less than 50 MW) towards the development of large and medium-sized hydropower projects. In 2008, the first unit was successfully commissioned, creating a miracle in hydropower construction within Hunan Province. The project was fully completed and commissioned in 2009.
2003
After 10 years of development, by the end of 2003, Shaoneng Group had an installed power generation capacity of 488,610 kilowatts and total assets of 4.022 billion yuan.
2002
Investment was made in the construction of the Qujiang Mengli Hydropower Station (with an installed capacity of 52 MW), which was completed and commissioned in 2005.
2001
The company reorganised the operations of the Yaotian Hydropower Station in Leiyang City, Hunan Province (with an installed capacity of 50 MW), and reorganised and constructed the Leizhong Hydropower Station in Leiyang City, Hunan Province (with an installed capacity of 40.5 MW). The completion and commissioning of these projects in 2003 marked the company's expansion of its hydropower business across different regions.
2000
The Yangxi Water Power Station (also known as the Hengxi Hydropower Plant) in Ruyuan County was constructed with a total installed capacity of 50,000 kW and commenced operations in 2003.
1997
The successful acquisition of the Mengzhouba Power Station in Shaoguan marked a breakthrough in achieving zero installed capacity in hydropower operations, representing a solid first step in the company's strategic shift towards the hydropower sector.
Utilising RMB 204 million raised from the company's stock market listing, the company invested in the construction of the Yangxi Stage III Hydropower Station (also known as the Diaoyutai Hydropower Plant), with an installed capacity of 25,000 kilowatts , marking a breakthrough in the company's self-built hydropower capacity. The station was fully completed and commissioned in 1999.

The company's shares have been officially listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 'Shaoneng Co., Ltd.'.
1993
The Guangdong Provincial Joint Review Panel for Shareholding Pilot Schemes and the Guangdong Provincial Economic Reform Commission approved the establishment of 'Guangdong Shaoneng Group Co., Ltd.' by Document No. Yue Gu Shen [1993] 3.
The Shaoguan Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce approved the registration and incorporation of Guangdong Shaoneng Group Co., Ltd. The registered capital is 750 million yuan, and total assets amount to 776 million yuan.
