Deputy Director Zou Tifeng of the International Center on Small Hydro Power Investigates Shaoneng Group
To thoroughly implement the relevant deployment requirements for promoting the green transformation and sustainable high-quality development of hydropower, recently, Zou Tifeng, Deputy Director of the International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP), led an investigation team to conduct a special investigation on the green development, renovation and upgrading of hydropower at Shaoneng Group. Affairs Department of ICSHP, Zhao Donghua, Director of the Rural Water Conservancy and Hydropower Department of the Provincial Water Resources Department, Huang Liangyong, Level-II Researcher of the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, and other officials participated in the investigation.
The investigation team went deep into the Intelligent Centralized Control Center of Shaoneng Group and its affiliated Mengzhouba Hydropower Station. They inspected the production and operation, ecological flow discharge facilities, work safety management, and effects of efficiency improvement and capacity expansion renovation of the center and the hydropower station on site. They focused on understanding the achievements of hydropower in ecological environment protection, ecological flow management, and standardized construction of work safety.
Deputy Director Zou Tifeng affirmed the efforts and achievements made by Shaoneng Group in promoting the green development of hydropower and fulfilling corporate social responsibilities. He required that the group should unswervingly follow the path of ecological priority and green development, strictly implement ecological flow requirements, and effectively maintain the healthy life of rivers; actively promote the modernization and intelligent upgrading of existing power stations, improve energy efficiency and safety levels, and tap the potential of stock assets; give full play to the leading role of Shaoneng Group as a key enterprise, summarize experience, explore replicable and scalable green development models, and support the healthy, orderly and high-quality development of the hydropower industry.
Director Zhao Donghua of the Provincial Water Resources Department and Researcher Huang Liangyong of the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau introduced relevant policies and regulatory requirements respectively in light of local conditions. They stated that they would continue to jointly support enterprises in the green renovation and safe development of hydropower, and jointly promote the hydropower cause to a new stage of being greener, safer and more efficient.
