On February 12, Bi Guozhong, General Manager of BYD Forklift Business Unit, led a team to visit the Precision (Intelligent) Manufacturing Business Unit of Guangdong Shaoneng Group Co., Ltd. and Shaoguan Hongda Gear Co., Ltd. of Shaoneng Group (hereinafter referred to as "Hongda Company").
The two sides held in-depth discussions on the progress of existing projects, the development of new projects, and future strategic cooperation.
This visit not only served as a phased review of the achievements of new projects in 2025, but also marked a new stage of in-depth integration between the two sides in the new energy sector.
On the afternoon of the same day, accompanied by the management team of Hongda Company, General Manager Bi Guozhong and his entourage first visited the core production area of Hongda Company—the assembly workshop.
Zou Sujun, Minister of the Marketing Department of Hongda Company, gave a detailed introduction to the company’s development history, technological upgrading, capacity layout and market expansion achievements, focusing on the transformation breakthroughs and supporting capabilities in new energy commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, construction machinery, electric forklift transmission parts and other fields.
General Manager Bi Guozhong spoke highly of Hongda Company’s R&D capabilities, processing and manufacturing level, and process quality control.
Subsequently, at the symposium, Zhu Ruxue, Chairman of the Precision (Intelligent) Manufacturing Business Unit of Shaoneng Group, Zhang Yaru, General Manager, and other executives attended the meeting. Xu Xianzhong, R&D Manager of BYD, delivered a special report on the recently cooperated new projects on behalf of the technical teams of both sides.
General Manager Bi Guozhong fully affirmed the professional capabilities demonstrated by Hongda Company in new product development, rapid response and cost control.
He emphasized that against the background of increasingly fierce competition in the new energy industrial vehicle market, the pre-R&D participation and collaborative cost reduction capabilities of the core supply chain have become key elements for OEMs to build core competitiveness.
Chairman Zhu Ruxue highly agreed with this. He pointed out that BYD has enterprises in Shaoguan, sharing the same city with Hongda Company. The two sides enjoy natural geographical cooperation advantages and should actively explore the model of "zero-distance development and same-city supply" to achieve local supporting, local service and local upgrading.
With the acceleration of electrification and intelligentization of forklifts, the demand for integrated, lightweight and customized drive systems will grow significantly in the future.
On the basis of the traditional supply-demand relationship, BYD and Hongda Company should further move towards a new type of strategic partnership featuring joint R&D, platform co-construction and global co-marketing.
In a frank and pragmatic atmosphere, the two sides held strategic discussions on the direction of in-depth cooperation in the future, further consolidating the foundation of cooperation and clarifying the future direction of collaboration.
